How do we pair?
One of you shares a 6-digit invite code or a join link (duet://invite/… or the HTTPS join page). The other joins. You can pause or unpair later from the Us tab. Duet is for two adults 18+.
Does Duet show ads?
No. Duet does not use AdMob or other ad networks. The free edition has daily caps (widgets, notes, pings, pet care). Couple Pro is a shared weekly or yearly subscription that lifts those caps for both of you.
What is Couple Pro, and how do I cancel?
Couple Pro is one plan for both partners (weekly or yearly via the App Store or Google Play). It unlocks unlimited widgets, premium themes and custom photos, unlimited pings, notes, pet care, and daily streak check-ins. Cancel in Apple or Google subscription settings. Refunds follow store policy.
Does Duet track my location?
Only if you turn on Distance. Location is used while the app is in use to show a straight-line distance to your paired partner. It is not background tracking, not a city-name-only estimate, and not shared with anyone except your partner and our processors. You can refuse the permission.
Where is our couple data stored?
Duet creates an anonymous Firebase account when you open the app. Couple content (widgets, notes, drawings, pet, check-ins) syncs in the cloud so both phones stay in sync. You can optionally link Apple or Google. Account deletion is in Us → Account; some stored files may remain for the partner — see the privacy policy.

What Duet is
Duet is a couple home-screen widget app for two adults. You pair with an invite, then pin a days-together timer, a countdown, a love note, a drawing, and optional distance on both phones. In the app you also get pings, a love streak, and a shared cat named Mochi. It is not a dating network, parental controls, a live GPS tracker for anyone who is not your partner, or emergency services.
Pet mood, love streak, and glance as home-screen widgets are listed as coming soon. The Pet tab and the in-app love streak are available now.
Free caps and Couple Pro
The free edition does not show ads. It limits live widgets (2), pings per day, pet care per day, love notes per day, and how often you can change your next date. Couple Pro is a shared weekly or yearly subscription: one plan covers you and your partner. It unlocks unlimited widgets, premium themes and custom photo backgrounds, unlimited pings, notes, pet care, and daily streak check-ins. Cancel in Apple or Google Play subscription settings. Refunds are handled by the store.
